Fumba Town have started an initiative to promote local farmers and producers of foodstuff on their premises. The KwetuKwenu Market is scheduled for every first Saturday of the month.
We are regarding this as an opportunity to connect to buyers from all over the islands, either hospitality businesses who will use Dada products for their operations, or retailers of supermarkets who will market Dada products on their shelves.

For the event we specially created a ‘Happy Easter Pasta’ – whole grain, with fresh beetroot juice. The pasta is shaped as little rabbits, flowers and Easter eggs – but of course all free from animal products!

DADA cassava crisps

DADA woman collects the sun dried cassava slices. After deep-frying the crisps are salted and spiced.

 

These delicious crisps are made from fresh cassava roots grown by small scale farmers in Zanzibar.
Thinly cut and deep-fried in pure vegetable oil they are spiced with sea salt and a blend of island spices.
Enjoy as snack when on the move, or while relaxing with a drink.
Please try as well plantain crisps, taro crisps and sweet potato crisps.

New workshop at Matemwe

DADA production, packaging and stock keeping are now in one location. DTP/Weltwärts volunteers put in great effort to refurnish our duka mbuyu. Under the canopy of a giant baobab tree the little shop holds at display a variety of  DADA products.
